General Law Practice for Representation in Many Legal Matters
At the law office of Judy A. Oxford, in Franklin, Tennessee, I provide a general law practice with an array of legal services. I provide representation throughout Middle Tennessee in many practice areas including:
Divorce and Family Law - I provide representation in all divorce and family law matters, encompassing things such as property distribution, spousal support (alimony), parental rights and responsibilities, child support, child visitation, child custody, and other non-divorce related family law matters such as adoption, paternity, name changes, and prenuptial agreements.
Criminal Defense - I will defend the rights of people arrested and accused of criminal offenses, handling all types of criminal cases, both felony and misdemeanor, including drug offenses, assault, theft, gun violations, domestic assault, white collar crimes, sex offenses, arson, conspiracy, and other serious offenses.
Juvenile Law - In addition to representing juveniles who have been charged with a criminal offense, I represent parents in dependency proceedings in juvenile court against abuse and neglect charges. In addition, I provide representation to unmarried parents who seek custody, visitation, support. I also handle cases involving termination of parental rights.
Business Law - My business law representation encompasses many legal aspects of owning and operating a business including the acquisition, organization, and formation as well as litigation in varied matters such as contract issues and partnership agreements.
Wills, Estates, and Probate - I prepare wills, powers of attorney and health care directives designed to help my clients achieve their long and short-term goals. I also have experience in the litigation of probate matters.
